Once the match ended, and AS Monaco had secured their 3-0 win, the trolling intensified. Their ‘X’ account posted the final score alongside the phrase “Club Señor,” a term often associated with Real Madrid, further fanning the flames of rivalry.
But the jabs didn’t stop there. They posted a photo of the Monaco team posing with the Gamper trophy, accompanied by a line from Real Madrid’s anthem: “To triumph in a good fight, defending your colour.”
This was a clear dig at Barcelona, as Monaco had triumphed wearing white, the very colour that symbolises Madrid.
