With two weeks left before the transfer window slams shut, Barcelona are expected to be a hub of activity with a number of operations, mostly outgoing, set to take place.
Out-of-favour players like Clement Lenglet, Vitor Roque, Ansu Fati, and even Mikayil Faye are expected to move on from the Catalan outfit in the coming days.
Meanwhile, as reported earlier today, it is not ruled out that Barcelona study offers for important players as well, as long as the fees involved are high.
Newcastle United eye Andreas Christensen
Now, it has emerged that Premier League club Newcastle United have their sights on Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen.
Indeed, according to Caught Offside, Newcastle have recently contacted Barça to discuss the conditions for the possible sale of the Danish centre-back.
The Magpies are in the market for a new defender and have made Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace their priority target.

However, with negotiations not progressing at their desired pace, Eddie Howe’s side are keeping their options open.
This is where Christensen enters the picture with the former Chelsea man being looked at as one of the possible alternatives for Guehi.
As such, Newcastle have contacted Barcelona to understand how much it would take for them to consider selling the defender and if there is any room for negotiations over their demands, which are said to be around £22-23 million.
Considering that Christensen was signed for free in 2022, any fee that Barcelona get for him would be written down as complete profit, which in turn would help the club with regard to Fair Play.
However, considering that Ronald Araujo is out injured for the first half of the season and the imminent exits of Lenglet and Faye, it is unlikely that Barcelona will part ways with another centre-back.
