The summer transfer window has finally shut, capping off a seriously underwhelming three months for Newcastle United.
We signed no one on deadline day, failing to land Marc Guehi, James Trafford or Anthony Elanga following a late bid for the Forest star, but saw a few players leave, either on loan or a permanent deal.
Here’s a summary of everything that happened, including some our activity at U21* level:
IN
Lewis Hall – £28m (Chelsea)
William Osula – £10m + £5m (Sheffield United)
Lloyd Kelly – Free (Bournemouth)
John Ruddy – Free (Birmingham)
Odysseas Vlachodimos – (Nottingham Forest)
*Miodrag Pivas – Undisclosed (FK Jedinstvo)
OUT
Yankuba Minteh – £33m (Brighton)
Elliot Anderson – £35m (Nottingham Forest)
Ryan Fraser – Terminated contract (Southampton)
Harrison Ashby – Loan (QPR)
Joe White – Loan (MK Dons)
*Jamie Miley – Loan (Newport County)
*Max Thompson – Loan (Chesterfield FC)
Paul Dummett – Released
Matt Ritchie – Released
Loris Karius – Released
Jeff Hendrick – Released
Kell Watts – Released
On a positive note, we’ve kept Bruno, Isak and Gordon, Howe is still here and Mitchell can still be a very good sporting director for the club in the long run, but it’s a poor window with plenty of lessons to learn.
Roll on Sunday.
