Barcelona’s attack has been nothing short of spectacular this season, leading all teams in Europe’s top five leagues with an impressive 17 goals, averaging more than three goals per game.
To put this into perspective, Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain trail closely behind with 16 goals, while fellow La Liga team Celta Vigo has netted 13.
French team Marseille comes in fourth with 12 goals, and Manchester City, Villarreal, and Bayern Munich are tied at 11 goals each.
The tally of 17 goals in the first five matches is the highest that Barcelona have managed since the 2017/18 campaign, giving an insight into the team’s attacking prowess.
It must be noted that Hansi Flick’s impact on Barcelona has been profound, and what’s remarkable is that this transformation has occurred without major squad changes.
While Dani Olmo and Pau Victor have joined the team, Flick has primarily relied on players from the previous squad and the academy, including Marc Casado and Marc Bernal (despite his current injury), ensuring that the absence of key figures like Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, and Ronald Araujo has not been felt.
