Two sides desperate for a Premier League victory do battle on Saturday as Everton host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.

The Toffees and the Eagles are two of six sides yet to taste victory in the league in 2024/25.

Hapless Everton have won just one match so far this season and it came against Doncaster in the League Cup – a competition they have since been eliminated from by Southampton.

In the league, they have lost against Brighton, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Aston Villa and drew with Leicester.

The results against Bournemouth and Villa were particularly damaging as they lost 3-2 after being two goals up in both fixtures.

Everton will receive a huge boost this weekend as Jarrad Branthwaite is set to make his first appearance of the season after recovering from injury. He played 90 minutes for the under-21st recently and has been involved in full training.

Seamus Coleman, Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja remain absent, but Nathan Patterson and Vitali Mykolenko are reaching full fitness to feature in the full-back spots.

Matheus Franca and Chadi Riad are long-term absentees for Palace, while Cheick Doucoure won’t feature until after the international break.
