In the modern day – especially when it comes to the Premier League, football tickets can be to come by, and are often crazy expensive, unless you know where to get them.
That will be especially true for Chelsea fans over the next month, given the teams on the agenda for Enzo Maresca’s up and coming Blues side.
After a shock to the system with Manchester City coming to town on the opening weekend, Maresca has had a nice soft start in terms of fixtures, and he’s made the most of it.
A big win over Wolves, a draw with Crystal Palace, win over Bournemouth thanks to a late Christopher Nkunku effort, two easy wins over West Ham and Brighton, then a slightly disappointing 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest to see us into the international break.
All in all, a good return – enough to see us into 4th place, just 4 points off league leaders Liverpool. But all that is for naught if Chelsea don’t continue to get results now that the fixtures turn nasty.
Coming up this Sunday we face that same table-topping Liverpool side, at Anfield to boot. That could well end up being the toughest game of the season – and will without doubt be one of the hardest to get a ticket for.
After that a dangerous Newcastle come to Stamford Bridge, followed by a trip back north to face Manchester United at Old Trafford. That might not be as tricky as it used to be, but at home they’re still a force, and it will be a huge test of how far this young team has come.
After that, it’s another title challenger – Arsenal are at the Bridge.
Wrapped amongst these Premier League heavy hitters are games in the Conference League, so there won’t even be midweek rests to rely on. It’s a fascinating hinging point in the season, and we can’t wait to see where we stand in a month’s time, when the dust has settled.
